Happiness and Productivity

I saw this video this morning on another blog written by a blogger who happens to serve as a school board member in Rock Hill (click here).

I thought this “TED Talk” was a great way to start the new week.  According to Psychologist Shawn Anchor, “It turns out that our brains are literally hardwired to perform at their best not when they are negative or even neutral, but when they are positive.”

Happiness increases productivity, and “that means that organizations actively working to enhance employee happiness gain a significant competitive advantage.”

Check out the video.  It’s a little over 12 minutes, but worth the investment of time.
